*giveway ended* $50 Gift Certificate for Kitchen Supplies!

by Sally on October 25, 2012 · 531 comments

My friend Barbara owns and runs a kitchen supply store called The Kitchen Outlet.

Today we’re teaming up to give one lucky reader a $50 gift certificate to buy anything you like from her kitchen supplies store.

How perfect for the holidays coming up!

 _____________________________________________

Based out of California, Barbara sells anything and everything you need and want in your kitchen.  We’re talking baking tools, kitchen gadgets, party supplies, adorable aprons, fun gifts, and much much more.

 The Kitchen Outlet is a one-stop-kitchen supply-shop!

They sell Silpats! We all know I cannot bake a single cookie, a batch of granola, roast a veggie or broil fish without my beloved nonstick silicone mat.

Silpats help my cookies spread less, allowing them to bake up thicker and more evenly. No need for buttering the pan or using parchment paper. They are also dishwasher friendly. LOVE.

Many have asked you where I bought mine.  Buy them here!

I couldn’t have baked my Death by Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies without my Silpat!

A Silpat non-stick baking mat also made my Cookie Dough Truffle Pops easier to handle!

__________________________________________

Also catching my eye at The Kitchen Outlet is the collection of Lolita glassware.

I personally have a few of these glasses already – they make perfect gifts- birthday, holiday, valentine’s day, bridal shower, etc. They are glasses (wine, margarita, martini, mugs) with a bit more flair – dressed up with a fun painted pattern and a drink recipe card attached. I’m buying some as Christmas presents for my friends.

The Kitchen Outlet has the best prices that I’ve seen for Lolita glassware!

For your new cocktail glasses, why not accessorize them with a catchy cocktail napkin as well?

 ____________________________________________

I also have my eye on this OXO Pineapple Slicer (only $10.99). Have you ever manually cut a pineapple before? It is NOT fun.

Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits, so I’m excited to save time and a lot of work!

Oh, and how adorable is this heart-shaped bamboo cheese board?

Probably the cutest cutting board you’ll ever find. Only $7.99! :)

Perfectly sized heart shaped cookie cutters, anyone?

It would be hard to make Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondie Hearts without them!

______________________________________________

I’m going nuts over here, filling my online shopping cart with all sorts of gifts and goodies for my own kitchen. :)

To show you my appreciation for all the love and readership, I’d like to give you the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to my favorite one-stop-kitchen-shop.

Comment below and have a chance to win 1 (one)  $50 gift certificate to The Kitchen Outlet!

*US residents only.

1) For an entry, tell me what your favorite kitchen gadget or baking tool is -the one thing you can’t live without.

Well, if we assume my corkscrew is really a bar item…. Then I would say my fine grater that I use the grate Parmesan cheese. Love the texture of the finished product and I put Parmesan in and on everything!

I would absolutely love to have a whisk! I have been so picky about the type I want to buy, that I currently just do the best I can with a fork or a blender. But I just know there would be a difference if I actually whisked the things that needed to be whisked. If I had one of those, I wouldn’t stop baking/cooking! That is the one tool I currently live without, but wouldn’t let out of my sight if I had!

Christine October 25, 2012 at 11:32 pm

My cookie dough scoops! :) But they also come in handy in so many other ways.

Thanks for this giveaway! :)

I have several favorites but I think I use my stoneware every single day and for anything and everything. I have tried to live without when one breaks but I become paralized! Some things will take forever for me to replace, but these I get another as soon as I can!

Trish Robinson October 26, 2012 at 1:18 pm

I couldn’t live without my cookie sheets, obviously. But I definitely couldn’t live without my ‘baking rolling table’. Its an extra storage, rolling shelf that is strictly for holding all of my extra baking accessories. I would have to say half my kitchen storage is for bake ware and baking accessories:)

My fave kitchen gadget or tool isn’t EXACTLY a tool or a gadget, but is a family homemade cookbook. My last Christmas at home before I was married the following summer, my Mom surprised me with this precious gift. She’d bought packets of pastel paper and handed blank sheets out to ALL the women in my extended family months before Christmas. They all then wrote (in their handwriting…. that was her rule!) recipes for me. They mailed the recipes back to my Mom, and she put them all in clear plastic sleeves and put them in a 3 ring binder for me. I balled like a big baby when I opened this on Christmas morning! This recipe book is something I cherish; definately one thing I would grab in the age-old question– What would you grab if you only had seconds to flee your home? Not only are there EXCELLENT delicious recipes which I’ve munched on at various Easter and Thanksgiving family get-togethers throughout my life, but they’re all hand-written and that’s my fave part. On the back of each one, I’ve written what date I first made the recipe. I’ve pulled this binder out several times a week in the 2 years I’ve been a new bride. What other cookbook has tried and true “this is for sure going to be yummy” satisfaction rating? I know one day many of these precious ladies won’t be with us any longer, but having this little part of them in my kitchen forever is something that makes me smile :)

Sally October 27, 2012 at 12:49 pm

That is so wonderful Kaylan! Surely something to treasure for the rest of your life! I would love something like that. I hope my mom is reading this. :) How sweet. Thank you so much for sharing!

I can’t live without my Kitchenaid mixer, it helped me find my new-found love for baking! And I absolutely love my mini muffin pan…(especially to make your no-yeast cinnamon buns!)

couldn’t live without my mini muffin pan! :)

I love my electric mixer!

LaVon October 27, 2012 at 11:32 pm

My favorite kitchen tool is a rubber scraper or spatula. I like to make sure to get every last bit of batter out of a bowl or that last little bit of peanut butter out of the jar. My utensil drawer has five or so of different sizes.

LaVon – I couldn’t live without my little mini spatula either – all because of peanut butter jars! :)

I love my KitchenAid stand mixer and use it frequently. I am a follower, like both pages, I shared and tweeted. Thanks for this amazing giveaway!

I can’t live without my donut pan and Sally’s donut recipes. My husband is diabetic and Sally’s healthy recipes allow him to enjoy sweets that are usually a “no-no”.

Sally October 28, 2012 at 2:39 pm

LOVE that Lori! Yes, I’m so glad you’re enjoying my donut recipes! I need to make some more soon :)

My favorite gadgets are my food processor and the whisk that came as an attachment for a now defunct electric mixer. It’s the most comfortable whisk I’ve ever held.

I couldn’t live without my apple corer, peeler, slicer. Love that thing! My husband’s favorite is apple crisp and it would drive me crazy to make it without my handy tool. :-)

Stella (Ex Libris) October 28, 2012 at 5:28 pm

My silicone spatulas! They are the best to get every teeny tiny speck of dough out of the bowl :-) Thank you!

I can’t live with out my cookie scoop…and my parchment paper…and my cookie spatula!

Sam Tsai October 28, 2012 at 7:44 pm

Parchment Paper!
I haven’t had the chance to try a Silpat, though…
