**giveaway has ended**
Tis the season for giving and a giveaway is in tall order today.
I’m ready to share the love with all of you these next few weeks and am planning for a few giveaways during the holidays.
Today you have the chance to win one of my very favorite kitchen tools – a Silpat silicone baking mat. The item you see in practically ALL of my photos and something I could not live without in all of my baking and non-baking adventures.
Holiday baking season is upon us and your new BFF will be a Silpat.
The flexible, reusable, and sturdy silicone mats eliminate the need to grease or paper-line your baking sheet. They reduce browning and allow the heat to fully distribute around each and every corner of your food item during the baking process.
Silpats also allow your cookies to bake up thicker and spread less. My Oatmeal Raisinet Cookies wouldn’t have been nearly as thick if it weren’t for my Silpat!
Silpats are also an excellent surface for kneading or rolling out your dough.
Baking a pumpkin pie this season? Avoid a sticky mess and roll out your pie crust on your new Silpat.
Have any bakers on your list? Give them the gift that will give back again and again. Perfect cookies, roasted veggies, batches of granola, a small pizza, baked potatoes, fish, baked chicken, and more. We’ve even made NACHOS on our Silpats before. When I make chocolate covered pretzels or cookie dough truffles, I put the chocolate covered items on my non-stick Silpat to avoid a chocolate mess.
A Silpat also makes drizzling cakes, cupcakes, and breads a breeze – it catches all of the excess!
Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread with a hefty drizzle of glaze.
Every single one of the cookies you’ll find on Sally’s Baking Addiction is baked on a Silpat liner. I have three of them. You could say I am obsessed.
The very best attribute of these? Clean-up is a piece of cake! Wipe off any crumbs and stick it in the dishwasher. No scrubbing, soaking, or soapy disasters. Easy peasy!
My wonderful friend and partner, Barbara from The Kitchen Outlet, has agreed to send one lucky winner a new Silpat baking mat just in time for the holidays.
We’d love to give you the chance to win my most used kitchen tool. ![]()

I’d bake some great big chocolate chip cookies using mini chips and chilling the dough overnight !! I live Silpat
I think the first thing I would try is rolling out sugar cookie dough. No matter what I do it always sticks and I end up making them taste dull using too much flour to roll them out.
Hi Sally,
I would bake the soft baked mint chocolate chip cookies that you posted today.
They look delicious!

Hi Danielle! Thank you for entering the giveaway. Yes, I am ALWAYS a fan for an easy clean up!
I would love to use these mats to revamp some old baking recipes brownies, chocolate chip cookies, truffles the list goes on and on. My 13 year old son has been diagnosed with KLS. He added seeing a naturopath who has suggested a dairy free diet so now I must adjust all my recipes to be dairy free. It is a huge challenging getting a 13 year old boy to change his diet
Aww Erin, I am keeping you and your son in my thoughts – I agree, that must be challenging. I have a wonderful vegan, dairy free peanut butter chunk oatmeal bar recipe if you’d like to try it: http://sallysbakingaddiction.com/2012/10/11/healthy-peanut-butter-chunk-oatmeal-bars/
Cookies for sure. I bake so many cookies for Christmas and I have one silpat but it isn’t enough for all the cookies I bake.
