    Good morning!

Wonderful photos, Sally, and thanks for sharing. I made my dog and his pup friends heart shaped peanut butter treats for Valentine’s Day. I pinned it: http://pinterest.com/jaclynjeni/dog-treats/ –Shameless plug :P I found it on the Paula Deen website, and yes, 1 pound of butter is not needed for this recipe. Happy birthday, Jude!

Have a great day. Off for a run!

Haha… I do most of my blogging and photography either between 5.30 and 7am or 9.30 to midnight, so I definitely relate to the 7am frosting photoshoot! Love this post. And your blog is beautiful, energy-infused and fun in every way! Not sure how you manage to keep the posts rolling out so frequently though. I struggle to complete one per week. Hugs x

I also appreciate being able to relate to someone like you… I think there’s a common misconception that highly successful blogs are run by people who either have heaps of time (and rich husbands!) or are getting enough money from advertising to make a job out of it. You’re definitely proof that it can happen through darn hard work, dedication and talent! Sending you a hug, you’re amazing xx

    3. Those spatulas. So jealous.

Happy Birthday to your pup! 5 is a great year! Our yellow lab loved these biscuits =)

    Banana-Nut Biscuits
    yields about 60 medium biscuits
    3- 3 1/2 c coarse oat flour
    1 1/4 c mashed ripe banana
1/4 c creamy natural peanut butter
    1/4 c powdered milk
    1 tsp baking soda
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two half sheet pans with parchment or a Silpat baking mats.
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon to form a stiff dough.
Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface and roll to a 1/8-1/4″ thick, depending on biscuit size preference. Cut with medium biscuit cutter and place on prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes, rotate trays, and bake another 12 minutes. Lower oven temp to 300 degrees and bake another 25 minutes, rotating trays halfway. Cool on racks and store in cookie jar!

Haven’t tried them yet, but I do have the perfect dog biscuit muffin tin for when I do…
Homemade Peanut Butter & Bacon Dog Treats
    Makes 15-20 treats
    Printable Recipe

    Ingredients
    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    1 tablespoon honey
    1 large egg
    1/2 cup water
    1 carrot, shredded
    2-3 pieces cooked bacon, chopped
1 cup oat flour or 1 1/2 cups rolled oats, processed until floury
1 cup all-purpose or whole wheat flour

    Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter, honey, egg, water, carrot and bacon and stir until well blended. Add both flours to wet mixture to form dough.

Roll out dough between two pieces of plastic wrap or lightly floured work surface to 1/4 inch thick.
Cut out with a dog bone shaped cookie cutter, or your desired shape. Place treats 1 inch apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store in a sealed container or re-sealable plastic bag for up to one week, or freeze

Hi Sally! I love making dog biscuits for my Luna! A few months ago I made her peanut butter and banana dog biscuits, here is the link:

and then a few weeks ago I made “fiber-ful biscuits” for one of my parents dogs that recently had surgery – these ones are packed with pumpkin, oats, and wheat germ, so great for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Here is the link for that one:

I hope you find these helpful – and I hope Jude finds them delicious!

ahhh he will LOVE both of them – I’m going to check the first one out for now. I can hear his stomach growling for one already – and I’m miles away from him at work ;)

Love these posts! Do you work from home? I ask since you noted your lunch break photo shoot.
