I hope your Thanksgiving week is off to a productive start. I’m way behind (hi, real life), but I’m giving myself permission to not be perfect this holiday season. Remember? It’s all about enjoying the right now, so while we all spend approximately 12 hours in the kitchen today making pie and stuffing, let’s at least do it with a smile! Reaaaally not looking forward to all those dishes btw.

But right now I want to (1) show you a video we put together earlier this Fall and (2) give a mountain of cookbooks to you! First, the video. We had so much fun shooting this! I really wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about my cookbooks, the new paperback edition, my book tour, and upcoming book Sally’s Cookie Addiction. And, well, go on and on and on about cookies.

Writing cookbooks, and meeting so many of you through the process, has brought me so much joy. And I’d love to give you signed copies this holiday season!

Buy Sally's Baking Addiction Cookbooks today!

Here’s What’s Going Down

To celebrate the holiday season, I’m giving away 8 signed copies of Sally’s Baking Addiction (the new paperback version with bonus recipes!) AND 8 signed copies of Sally’s Candy Addiction. So 8 of you will win a signed copy of each. Cue some super cool party music as I show you a couple recipes from my books.

  2. Christine on November 28, 2016 at 10:38 pm

I have a soft ginger snap cookie recipe that’s a crowd pleaser, so I love making that. But I really really love making pies, always. Your pie crust recipe is my favorite but I’m still a work-in-progress as far as making the crust actually look nice haha!

Years ago my husband got a cookie recipe from a co worker that is simply wonderful. Michigan Rocks are a delicious walnut and date cookie that justs screams the holidays for us. We look forward to them every Christmas!

    Thanks for an awesome giveaway!

My favorite thing to bake during the holidays is anything mint chocolate or Deb’s (smitten kitchen) gingerbread snacking cake – so good!

The family gingerbread recipie! Every year I host a cookie decorating party and a lot of my friends come over so we can all bake a variety of cookies in bulk to share with our families over the winter break. The star off the show is the gingerbread dough, which one of my best friends is obsessed with now since she realized it’s also vegan.

I love to bake your peppermint mocha cookies! They are so delicious and my whole family enjoys them. Last time I baked them, they were gone in a day!

I love holiday baking! My favorite things to bake are Christmas cookies. It’s impossible to choose just one recipe – it seems like there must be several varieties to really achieve the status of Christmas cookies. I also love baking holiday breads. This is such a great time for baking!!!

  15. Shweppes on November 29, 2016 at 3:40 am

    Definitely sugar Cookies!!

  18. Allison on November 29, 2016 at 10:56 am

I’m a big fan of the sweet and salty flavors combined. I love baking apple pie in a graham cracker crust with walnuts, salted caramel and sometimes a layer of cheesecake!

  19. Angela W. on November 29, 2016 at 11:15 am

I love making truffles, especially peppermint ones!

  20. Alexandra Scassera on November 29, 2016 at 11:35 am

Oh my gosh, this is a hard choice. I’d have to say either the Smores bars or the triple chocolate layer cake. I’ve emailed the link to your smores bar recipe more times than I can count. After I made my first batch, I knew what a hit they were. I already have the ingredients so they’ll be on my holiday trays!

I grew up with my mom and her best friend having a tradition of baking cookies together. It use to be a huge multi day event where all of us kids got to pick out our favorites. We loved to packaged them and give away as gifts. Over 15 years later, my family continues to make our “christmas cookies” and has a hard time to give up the tradition. We get so much joy baking together! My personal favorite is decorating cut out cookies with frosting and sprinkles.

  22. clarita on November 29, 2016 at 12:09 pm

    Christmas cupcakes!

  23. Shannon on November 29, 2016 at 12:32 pm

pumpkin roll, just gotta have some pumpkin roll!

  24. Ashley on November 29, 2016 at 12:33 pm

My absolutely favorite thing to bake is holiday themed sugar cookies. But my husband’s favorite thing to eat is my grandmother’s peanut brittle. I finally have the recipe so hopefully it will be part of a new tradition.

  25. Melissa on November 29, 2016 at 1:05 pm

My favorite thing to bake during the holidays are linzer cookies from ground almonds! I only make them during the holiday season; they are so tedious but so delicious. They perfectly match the glass ornaments on our tree. I even like making homemade jam for inside the cookies!

Thanks for always sharing with us wonderful recipes and giveaways!

  26. Melissa C. on November 29, 2016 at 2:43 pm

Gingerbread! This year I’m going to attempt to make a replica of my house out of gingerbread, if I can muster the energy. 🙂

  27. Liza B on November 29, 2016 at 2:50 pm

My favorite thing to bake during the hlidays are pies!dont get me wrong theyre great all year round but during the long cold hollidays theres nothing like warm apple and pumpkin pies coming out of the oven just as thanksgiving dinner finishes.

  28. Jenny on November 29, 2016 at 3:06 pm

I have looked for the perfect chocolate chip cookie for a long time. I searched the Internet, I searched recipe books, I asked friends, and family. I have tried many, many versions. And then I found your recipe. Since then no other recipe compares, I find them just perfect. My husband, usually not a sweet tooth, begs me to bake them often, especially during the season. Thank you so much!

  29. Kelly C on November 29, 2016 at 4:23 pm

During the holidays, I love to bake with ginger….gingerbread scones, gingerbread cookies, gingersnaps, anything ginger!!

  30. Jeanine Twisk on November 29, 2016 at 4:34 pm

I am so happy I found your website a few years ago, it’s always my go-to place for all sweet recipes. My  favorite is the peanut butter stuffed brownies.
    Congratulations on another fabulous book!!
