January 2018 Sally’s Baking Challenge Recipe: Homemade Bread Bowls

Many of you have been nervous to bake bread from scratch. Yeast intimidates you. And with the cold weather and soup on the stove, I figured homemade bread bowls were the perfect fit. The dough recipe is extremely simple, yet versatile: rustic bread loaves, pizza crust, dinner rolls, etc. I enjoyed seeing how you used it!

One of my favorite recipe reviews came from reader Alyssa:

“Thank you so much for such a great and easy recipe!! This was my first time using yeast and everything came out perfect! I made your creamy chicken noodle soup with it and everyone in my house enjoyed the meal!! I will definitely be making both again!”
