Interview: Behind the Scenes of SBA!

Food Blogger Pro Interview

Gooooood morning! (This just autocorrected to “gooey morning!”)

Today, my friends over at Food Blogger Pro are sharing an interview where I discuss all things blogging. In this 40 minute podcast, you’ll hear me blab… seriously it’s 40 minutes… about how I turned my blog into my full time job, what it’s like running my own business (how did I get here?!), the food, the monster that is social media, the traffic, writing cookbooks, and any advice I would give to new food bloggers.

I haven’t done too many interviews, so when the gang at Food Blogger Pro asked me to jump on a call, I instantly agreed. I don’t get too many chances to talk about my addiction to baking. Kidding! Haha?

If you’re a blogger looking for advice to grow your blog or simply want to hear my story, give it a listen. Hopefully you can learn something that will help you.

What is Food Blogger Pro? FBP is a blogging community and a wonderfully beneficial resource to food bloggers looking to learn more about the business. Whether that’s starting a blog, improving photography, social media masterminding, growing your traffic, etc. You can sign up here! And then you can make funfetti cookies because… sprinkles.

Q: Bloggers, what is your #1 blogging tip?

  1. Dawn @ Words Of Deliciousness says:

Sally, just wanted to let you know that I listened to your interview and that I really enjoyed it. It was very inspiring and I loved all of your advice. I am sure that it will help me with my blog.

    1. Thank you Dawn!

  2. I have a random question: recommendations for a new double oven… convection? Brand? Wattage? So many choices!!!!!!

  3. I listened to this podcast today whilst doing the dishes and I loved it! It’s so inspiring! It makes me want to start a blog even more. I’ve been playing around with the idea for a while now, but it’s unfortunately not an option anytime soon. I’m only just a high school student, and I still have to get through college as well. For now, it’s only a dream, but I really hope I can turn it into reality one day 🙂

  4. Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut says:

I’m so so happy you did this podcast! It was so awesome to hear the behind-the-scenes AND (to be quite honest) to hear how hard it is because it really does seem like some bloggers do things so effortlessly!

    1. Thanks Amanda, I appreciate that!

  5. LOVED the podcast and learned so much! You’re blog is so fun and cheerful and it was so interesting to learn about how it came to be.

    1. Thanks Annie!

  6. I saw that you have an interview and finally got a chance to listen to it. I think the most important advice that you gave is not to compare yourself to the big blogs out there because it will demotivate you. I find that so true! I started my blog for fun but it’s so discouraging when I see how everyone else’s are so beautiful. Eventually I realized that I should just focus on having fun with my own blog, chronicling my own culinary adventures and journals, and just enjoy the process 🙂
    Thanks for the advice!
(by the way, I love your blog, and your posts are so well-written. Looking forward to reading more posts!)
