Gooooood morning! (This just autocorrected to “gooey morning!”)

Today, my friends over at Food Blogger Pro are sharing an interview where I discuss all things blogging. In this 40 minute podcast, you’ll hear me blab… seriously it’s 40 minutes… about how I turned my blog into my full time job, what it’s like running my own business (how did I get here?!), the food, the monster that is social media, the traffic, writing cookbooks, and any advice I would give to new food bloggers.

I haven’t done too many interviews, so when the gang at Food Blogger Pro asked me to jump on a call, I instantly agreed. I don’t get too many chances to talk about my addiction to baking. Kidding! Haha?

    I LOVE FBP!!! Yes, totally needed to shout that. Lindsay and Bjork have created such an amazing platform of resources. GAH! I love them! Just my luck, my drive home is 40 minutes, so I will be listening to your interview this afternoon!

    My best blogging tip: don’t get hung up on the kitchen fails. When your job is to provide recipes for your readers, it can get overwhelming. I embraced my fails and put them in a comprehensive post at the end of the year, and it was one of my most popular posts. I got so many “thank you”s for showing how normal of a person I am, and this year, every time I fail, I say “welp! Gotta take a pretty picture!”

  4. Awesome interview Sally, I loved listening to how you built up the blog and the amount of work you had to put in to get where you are.
    I wondered who Bjork would interview next after kicking off with Bjork and Lindsay interviewing each other.  Perfect choice 🙂

  5. I was so excited to see that Bjork would be interviewing you! I have just finished listening to the first two episodes and loved them. My advice for bloggers would be to just keep going even when it gets hard. There are going to be things that discourage you, but to not let that keep you from sharing your love of food.

I think they are amazing people and have brought so much to food bloggers around the world.     1. Ashley, my recipe index was custom created by my web designer Purr Design. They would be the best to ask!

  24. I listened to this podcast as soon as I got home from work last night. I can’t even tell you how excited I was to hear it! I’ve used FBP myself (their videos are SO helpful), love pinch of yum, and love your blog too. So when I read that you were doing a podcast with them I almost did a back flip. As imagined, you have such a sweet, relatable tone of voice. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this interview, and of course congratulations on all your success with this blog, you have inspired so many others and truly deserve it!
