One More Heart

pregnancy announcement

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Kevin and I feel immensely blessed and are so excited to share that we’re adding 1 more heart to our growing family. I’m pregnant! We are eternally grateful for this gift of a healthy pregnancy and another baby on the way.

Though this will be our 2nd child, this is my 3rd pregnancy. Please let this be a sliver of hope for any woman reading this who has experienced pregnancy loss. There can be light after heartbreak and you are not alone.

I’ve been waiting so long to share this news with you! Due in early July, I’m 20 weeks along already. I can’t believe we’re halfway there. (The photos in this post were taken a month ago and my bump is 100x larger now. You show a lot earlier in your 2nd pregnancies!!)

pregnancy announcement

Experiencing my 1st trimester during my busiest time of year (holidays!)– while also chasing around a 2 year old– has made this pregnancy fly by. I feel healthy, strong, and ready to be a working mother of 2. Noelle says “big sister” all the time, though I’m not sure she knows what’s about to rock her world. We count our blessings every single day. 🙂

We know the sex, but are keeping it a surprise for most. We can’t wait to introduce our baby to you all!

I’m already prepping summer content for my time off, so send over any recipe ideas! Thank you for sharing this special time with us as we focus on welcoming another bundle of joy. xo

  5. Dear Sally, first, the most important thing: Congratulations!!! All the best to you and your little growing family!

I loved the articles you published about your first pregnancy and Noelles’ growing up – all the things you found helpful and so on. I was thinking of those when you asked for recipe suggestions above. I would love to read more about baby-/toddler- friendly food that’s more on the healthier side!

Like how you introduced Noelle to solid foods, what recipes you used etc. I also love the mini oat muffins you baked for her and I would love some more easy, baby-friendly baking recipes, you know, little snacks a baby can eat without me having a bad conscience. Some other muffins would be great, but also cakes or breads or cookies, and maybe also something on the more “savoury” side.

But I’m also looking forward to all the other tasty things you will be posting about!

    Wishing you all the best,
    Rike

  6. Congratulations! And thank you for also being frank about miscarriages.
The husband and I are oddly loving your savoury recipes so more of those would be my request 😉

  11. Awwww… What great news! So happy for you. I have been reading your blog now since 2013 or 14, I remember when your other place flooded, how excited for your new house you were, Noelle, and now this new bundle! You work so hard, are so caring, and deserve every blessing that comes your way!
Although I am not baking as much as I used to, I still see what new stuff you post, maybe I will find some inspiration. I want to make the flourless cake, haven’t had the time yet. I am doing more clean eating nowadays, if you have some clean eating recipes that would be great!
