St. Patrick’s Day already next week?! Totally snuck up on me.
Guess what? I’m going to Boston tomorrow! I have a book signing that was rescheduled from a snow day in February. I’m presenting a fun cooking demo where we’ll make chewy creamy caramels from scratch– a recipe from Sally’s Candy Addiction. And I’ll be adding sprinkles. Obviously. Get ready for it!
I don’t have anything huge planned for St. Patrick’s Day… just a big loaf of Grandma’s Irish soda bread and a visit to our new house. We’re moving in June and the kitchen is currently being redone. We’re picking out cabinets. (My my my how St. Patrick’s Day celebrations have changed!) I’m thinking cream color cabinets to lighten things up. Thoughts? What does your kitchen look like? Could this paragraph be more boring?
I’ve got some St. Patrick’s Day recipes you have to try! I don’t have any traditional corned beef & cabbage, but I have a slew of festive desserts.
Feeling festive and green with mint chocolate swirl bark. This stuff is laughably easy and makes a ton if you break it into small pieces to share.
Luck o’ the Irish? Yes! White chocolate lucky charms treats for all.
Homemade thin mints because we all have girl scout cookies on the brain these days. This recipe makes about 36 cookies, so there’s plenty for a crowd!
Straight from my Grandma’s kitchen, this crusty and suuuuper tender Irish soda bread is my favorite. Do you know how simple Irish soda bread is?!
More mint! Mint Oreo truffles only require 3 ingredients. 4 if you want to decorate with sprinkles or green candy swirls, which obviously you do.
I know rum isn’t really St. Patrick’s Day-ish, but you could sub in an Irish whiskey. Oh my gosh, they’d be heavenly! These cocoa rum balls are in Sally’s Candy Addiction if you have a copy! They’re incredibly simple.
Chocolate cupcakes with mint chocolate chip frosting are really for any and every occasion. Look at that frosting!
