January 2018 Sally’s Baking Challenge Recipe: Homemade Bread Bowls
This month you will conquer your fear of yeast! My bread bowl recipe doubles as a basic dinner roll, pizza crust, and crusty bread recipe to always have on hand. It’s straightforward, versatile, requires little ingredients, and is completely manageable for yeast beginners.

Let’s Review the December Baking Challenge
December 2017 Sally’s Baking Challenge Recipe: Snowman Sugar Cookies
Each month, I witness more and more of you participating in these baking challenges. We ended the year with the most participation yet! This community is not only special, but massively talented. And this was the first time many of you worked with royal icing! It’s incredible.
One of my favorite recipe reviews came from reader Beth:
“Just took these out of the oven, they turned out perfectly! I’ve been looking for a sugar cookie that doesn’t spread, and this is my new go-to.”
We gathered as many snowman sugar cookies (and other shapes) photo entries as we could and included them below. (Email is the best way to guarantee your photo will be included!)
PS: Did you try the snowman sugar cookies? What did you think?
I would love to know how to make the perfect birthday cake. I can not find a great tasting recipe with a delicious icing. I want to make my hubby one for his birthday this year. It is not until November so I have plenty of time to get the best recipe!
I’d love to see your take on German chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting. 🙂

I would love to see a recipe challenge on any of the following: Burnt Almond Cake, crepe cake, croissants, any Danish pastries!! 🙂
Oh man, my dad makes the best lemon meringue pies, and every time I try mine turn out not so well. So my challenge recipe is lemon meringue pie!!
Hi Sally! Marshmallows should be interesting
These desserts look amazing. Thank you so much for the chance to win. I would love to see a cinnamon roll challenge or a monkey bread cake.
