Let’s Review the August Baking Challenge
August 2017 Sally’s Baking Challenge Recipe: Checkerboard Cake
August’s baking challenge was a tall order– literally! A 4 layer checkerboard cake with oodles of vanilla frosting and plenty of pizzazz. I love your fun color combinations and gorgeous decorations. You brought your A game this month!
One of my favorite recipe reviews came from reader Caitlin:
“The cake was so moist and so flavorful. This will definitely be a repeat in my household! I also loved the frosting recipe. I chose a funfetti and baby pink checkerboard with piped pink rosettes on top for fun. Oh, cant forget the sprinkles! Thanks for all of your tips and tricks to make this fun cake easy!”
We gathered as many checkerboard cake photo entries as we could and included them below. (Email is the best way to guarantee your photo will be included!)
PS: Did you try the checkerboard cake? What did you think?
