Vermont Weekend, Part 2

Vermont Weekend | Sally's Baking Addiction

Now that my house is blanketed under almost 2 feet of snow, looking at the rest of these pictures from our ski trip last weekend makes me giggle. I thought this would be the most snow I see all winter!

I absolutely love it when the snow is falling, so staying cooped up inside all day was a dream. Let’s rewind back to Vermont though!

Bogey! Doesn’t he look like a giant stuffed animal? Also, how creepy is Jude in this next picture. He just stood there staring at me for 3 minutes straight. I don’t even think he blinked.

And let’s not forget about this waffle action. This is from the waffle cabin sitting at the bottom of slopes in Killington, VT. You’re looking at a golden crisp warm yeasted waffle with crisp caramelized sugar and chocolate syrup in each crevice.

  1. Thanks for sharing Part II Sally and you’re right! It does make you giggle when you see “the ground” under the snow there in VT. LOL. Love the coziness of being snowed in although my BF had to go out and plow so ‘guess who’ had to shovel me and my 2 dogs out until we were rescued yesterday by a big ‘ole John Deer Tractor with a snow blower attached? Thank God for my neighbor “Farmer Isaac!”. BTW….I made the Cashew Berry Snack Bars! Jim loved them as did I….still a few left. Packed a nice protein punch for sure and I did add the coconut as well…..so it had sunflower seeds, cashew and coconut and only a few of the dried cranberries as he’s diabetic. DELIC!

  2. These photos of Vermont are gorgeous! Living in San Francisco, we never get to see snow and we’d have to travel to the mountains to see a good amount of snow. And even then, with the drought, it has been good. Your photos have inspired a possible trip to a ski resort for next winter. Lol

  3. Omg, that waffle! Totally divine. Jude is so darn cute, by the way! So excited you’re getting another fur baby as well. Looking forward to a bazillion pictures!

  4. Hi I’m from the UK and got married at the Mountain Top in 1993. We had one of the cottages near the hotel, and that year they had early snow, it was late October and it was white for birthday on Hallowe’en.  Lovely place.

  5. You’re buying a new house? CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m in Socal so we only get to see snow when we head to the mountains. Living vicariously through you right now!
