peppermint patty chocolate chip cookie bars.

Do you love York Peppermint Patties as much as I do?  Next to Snickers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, they are my favorite candy bar!

And when it comes to candy bars, they are relatively healthy… so I justify eating more than one….. or five at a time. ;)

I don’t say this very often, but today’s cookie bars might just be the best dessert/bar/cookie I’ve EVER madeEVER.

The peppermint patties are stuffed between two chewy, soft cookie bar layers.  And the peppermint goo melts all over inside.  I can only describe the taste as… heavenly.  These are gooey. and chewy. and perfect.

As shown below, layer the chocolate chip cookie dough at the bottom of an 11×7 pan, align peppermint patties on top, and layer again with the rest of the cookie dough…

Bake for 38-40 minutes and allow to cool COMPLETELY before cutting into squares.

I can’t stop raving about these, this is a MUST try dessert.
