Most Popular Recipes of 2018

collage of 6 popular recipes including strawberry cake, salted caramel, lemon blueberry cake, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cupcakes, and vanilla cake pops

First, can we discuss the rate at which 2018 flew by? Was it the blink of an eye or the flap of a butterfly’s wings? 2019 is knocking on our doors and we can’t look forward to a new year without reflecting back on the previous. What was the best part of your 2018?

I LOVE looking back on the year and seeing which recipes have been your favorite. What’s most exciting is when a recipe I published that year falls into the top ten category, especially since that recipe has 7 years of page views to compete with. (See #7!)

I gathered these top 10 popular recipes from looking at the page views of my posts as well as the positive reviews. If you’re looking for the best of the best on SBA, these 10 recipes are it!

And my personal #1? It’s so hard for me to choose as I have about 1,000 recipes between my website and cookbooks, so I’ll narrow it down to a favorite recipe published on the blog in 2018. No-Bake S’mores Cake is most definitely my favorite 2018 recipe! So simple and that toasted marshmallow meringue is absolute heaven.

Q: Which SBA recipes are your favorites? Thank you so much for baking and cooking my recipes. It truly means the world to me!!

    Hi Sally!
It is impossible to choose a favorite. I’ve made SO MANY yummy things from your blog & your books. I’ve had great success with your cakes, pistachio, strawberry, the tuxedo cake, to name a few. Your pie crust is the only one I’ll use, and your coconut chicken is a big favorite for dinner (that dipping sauce!!). And I still can’t believe I made croissants from scratch thanks to you!! But I do have to say that in my top 5 would be the peanut butter & jelly thumbprints from your cookie book. No self control around those!!
Many many thanks for this wonderful blog & for making me a fantastic baker!! Wishing you a very happy 2019 full of love, good health & blessings. 🙂

  2. Hi Sally! I make your fudgy brownies with peanut butter chips every time we have a casual gathering, for game night, picnics, anything! They are insanely delicious! Happy New Year!

  3. This year I made the lightened up chicken noodle soup for a friend going through a hard time. She said it was by far the best chicken noodle soup she’s ever had. I tend to agree with her 🙂 That soup feeds the soul and the stomach.

  4. My fave is the Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza posted 12.31.14. We love this meal and its thousands of variations of filling/topping options. The laminating process and instructions (which yield the best possible home for this spectacular pie) addressed my fears. The next day I had the courage to try Danish Pastry AND was successful.
