Summers in Baltimore may be hot and humid, but they’re so much fun. There’s always something to do, something to play, something to see, and something new to eat!

Q: Have you ever visited Baltimore before? Favorite spots?

  1. SallysbakeblogLover says:

Looks like fun, Sally! Great photography!

  2. Great pics!!! Unfortunately i have not been to Baltimore or even Philly ๐Ÿ™

  3. Lynn @ Fresh April Flours says:

I was wondering if that was the Ross you told me about, hahaha. He’s so cute! Baltimore is not a place we frequent, although we have been there a handful of times. The last time we were there, we were leaving for a cruise… And the next time we will be there, we will be flying out of BWI for another cruise! Looks like we need to venture out a bit, yeah?ย

    PS I love KanJam!!

  4. Sally these photos are GORG. I’m so jealous of your talent. Perhaps I should invest in a camera other than my iphone?

You know my favorite photos are the ones of Leinies Summer Shandy and Jude. Keep them coming – I love this new part of the blog! xoxo PS – a favorite part of Baltimore? Weddings at the four seasons ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Brittany @ Barr & Table says:

Absolutely love these pictures. I’m from Baltimore, lived in Fed Hill for a few years and moved to California about a year and a half ago but I’m seriously missing my hometown these days! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Michele @ Two Raspberries says:

I love that you added this photography part to your blog Sally! I always admire your pictures ๐Ÿ˜‰ and those lake views make me want to be at the water right now sooooo bad! and Jude drinking from the cooler SO freakinggg cute! love it! ๐Ÿ˜‰ …do you do any editing on the ones like these? I’m such a newbie when it comes to photography although I’ve always admired it lol so I’m just curious! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย

    1. Thanks Michele! I edit all my photos (well, usually). I use Abode Lightroom. I swear by it! It’s so user friendly.

  7. Amy @ Thoroughly Nourished Life says:

I’ve never been to Baltimore, but it looks beautiful! We are heading to Washington on our US trip this year though, and Philadelphia too! So excited to explore these new-to-us cities! I love these photos of your everyday moments. It’s inspiring me to remember to snap some photos on our next outing ๐Ÿ™‚ย
That photo of Ross has to be my favourite, my sister has a german shepherd too (Storm) and she’s my favourite fur niece ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. These pictures are gorgeous! You have such a gift!

I’ve been to Baltimore a few times, mainly on field trips that took us to the Aquarium. I performed in the Inner Harbor once with the Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars in high school, and I went to an Orioles game once. I think my favorite part of the game was how the fans yell the “O” in “O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave?”

But I’m also a seafood (especially shellfish) junkie, so anywhere I can get some good crab is my favorite spot. Any recommendations?

  9. I am from Baltimore and my favorite spots are Little Italy, the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Ripley’s museum, and the aquarium! I love all the shops at Fells Point and I love the water taxi, it is so convenient going from place to place downtown. My best friend and I were downtown just yesterday going all over the place and we had a blast! I showed her around everywhere, because she’s from Connecticut and visiting for the first time. You took beautiful pictures, nothing like my home sweet home. ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t wait for your book tour so I can come see you and meet you! ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. I have been to Annapolis…is that near Baltimore? I know I have been to Baltimore and D.C. too a couple months ago.ย
These are really beautiful pics. I can’t wait to see when Autumn comes… Your pics of falling leaves is what I am looking forward to.

  11. Ashley Lynn says:

I’m a longtime reader, but I had to comment and say that I LOVE seeing you guys play Kan Jam! I’m from Buffalo and it originated here so it’s near and dear to my heart!!!ย

I also travel to Baltimore for work frequently and love that city!

  12. Michelle @ Modern Acupuncture says:

Oh my gosh, Ross is cuuuuute! So fuzzy ๐Ÿ™‚ย

  13. Shelby @ Go Eat and Repeat says:

Welcome back to Maryland! I went to school in Towson. The inner harbor is definitely the most famous part of Baltimore, but I love all the little neighborhoods and how cute they are. Canton is slowly becoming my favorite and I met my boyfriend in Fells point!

  14. Monique Spinelli says:

Great Photos, looks like a great time was had by all

  15. We lived in Ellicott City for 5 years and spent lots of time in Baltimore! Seeing your pics brings back lots of fond memories for me. Orioles games were always fun and we had several date nights in Little Italy. Once, after dinner, we stumbled upon some men playing Bocce in a little park around the corner from the restaurant where we had just eaten. So quaint! When the kids were small, we packed picnic lunches to enjoy by the water and watched boats and people come and go and spent lots of time at the aquarium. Thanks for jogging my memory! I miss Baltimore!
